As a successful brand strategist and entrepreneur, Melinda has functioned as a Chief Marketing Officer for both for large and small companies. She has scaled and honed marketing plans to develop, define the brand. This helps companies position themselves in the market through research, proven process methodologies, and implementation of creative campaigns for over 25 years. Her career has enabled her to experience vast geographic and cultural diversity, giving Melinda insightful perspective about targeted demographics, consumer behavior, and the value of an emotional response to brands.
From sole proprietor to incorporation of two firms, OrangeRoc in Hawai‘i and a group in Southern California, Melinda has had the opportunity to observe changing marketing trends and emerge as a leader in applying new media channels. One of her finest strengths is leading and inspiring teams of talented individuals to apply research-based creative to achieve strategic objectives and measure the outcomes to refine and hone a brand’s equity.
Some notable clients include Black & Decker – Kwikset Division, the Fairmont Orchid Hawaii, Brookfield Homes Hawaii, Brookfield Homes Southland, ST Residential, Locations, Bodhtree Solutions India and North America, BMW North America – Southern California Division, Hawaii Central Federal Credit Union, Associa Hawaii Division, Tomy Toys Japan, and ABC’s highly acclaimed “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition – where she was instrumental in securing builders and sponsors and overseeing initial media relations for nationwide builders. In 2015, Melinda was hired to oversee site logistics and volunteers, while also coordinating media behind the scenes for HGTV, the DIY Network, and Travel Channel.
In addition to her professional endeavors and achievements, Melinda applies her skills and talent to help her community. She continues to support several nonprofits, including Family Programs Hawaii, Orangewood Children Home, and the Hawaii International Film Festival.
Born in Singapore and raised on the Big Island, Lauren combines Eastern culture with Western education to bring multicultural insight to the office. Her thoughtful, forward-thinking approach to the visual arts complements the goals and objectives of our clients.
She is innately aware that creativity is not just about concepts and colors, but also recognizing that small details add up to impactful elements. Lauren is proficient in website design for desktop and mobile environments, working with various content management systems, and integrating technology stacks. She understands the value of design and its impact on user experience and website functionality in digital environments.
Lauren received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. During this time, she was the design editor and creative director for the university’s editorial publication, Ka Leo o Hawai‘i. She has become a peer mentor to some new graduates and those seeking a career in graphic design
With a passion for art and design, Paul creates visual solutions for impactful print and digital content for a wide range of multi-channel initiatives.
With a background in art and illustration, passion for design, and zeal for brand building, his strengths lie in seeing the forest and the trees. This allows him to not only produce content and assets that deliver the client’s message effectively, but also deliver it with clarity and emotion in relation to the brand.
Born and raised in Hawaii, Paul grew up with a passion for art from an early age. His creative upbringing led him to pursue a degree in Art and Design, and after graduating from the University of Hawaii at Manoa he has continued that pursuit of learning, expanding, and honing his skillset. He has learned how to use various tools to strategically solve problems visually and conceptually. Outside of work, he enjoys building and working on his own illustrative projects and personal brand. These expressive endeavors further define his personal style and expand his creative range in the professional field.
