The combination of business acumen, education, and design skills combined with boundless energy has led Melinda through her career in advertising and marketing. She has lived in California, North Carolina, Atlanta, Hawaii and across borders into Hong Kong and Tokyo. This cross-cultural experience gives her a broad perspective of demographics, consumer behavior and responses.

Being a founder and executive creative director for two firms, OrangeRoc in Hawaii and Danhausen Group in Southern California, has given Melinda the opportunity to watch marketing trends change and emerge with new media. As an award-winning firm, Orangeroc specializes in providing dynamic creativity with a purpose – from strategic research to corporate branding and product launches. Fully immersing herself in clients’ goals before marketing their products and services, Melinda takes pride in positioning every project analytically and tactically to inspire consumer emotion and action. Melinda created one-of-a-kind branding and positioning for notable clients including Black and Decker, The Fairmont Orchid, Locations, Bodhtree Solutions, Retina Institute, Shea Homes, Molokai Ranch, Tomy Toys, C4 Waterman and many more.

Melinda has invested as much heart back into the community, and believes in helping others who are struggling a little in life. Several of the non-profits that she has contributed to include Keiki O Ka Aina, INPEACE, Casa Teresa, Orangewood Children’s Home, HIFF and The Missing Child Center-Hawaii.
